Jury Systems Incorporated

Education Services

Our Education Service program involves on-site training with one of our training specialists, all of whom are former Jury Managers and JURY+ users themselves. Training is customized for your staffing requirements. Generally, a single session runs from 3-5 days.
JURY+ Authorized Training

Once JURY+ Next Generation has been installed in your Court, the goal of Jury Systems Incorporated is to provide a seamless operational transition for jury managers and their staff. Proper training is critical to this goal.

Even before appearing at your Court, the Education and Technical staff of Jury Systems Incorporated will have gained a detailed understanding of your practices and requirements. This "Integration Services" process uses input from experienced end-users and Court managers and allows our Technical and Education staff to design a training program that insures confidence and capability with JURY+ and its relationship to their world. The approach is hands on and emphasizes practicing "real world" situations before going "live".

The Director of Education Services for Jury Systems Incorporated is Sandra Willett. If you have any questions regarding JURY+ Education Services e-mail her at sandi@jurysystems.com.

General Training Philosophy

First and foremost, new users need to learn how to move around in JURY+ and recognize the varied types of screen layouts. With that foundation, the next level of training addresses the daily routines and adaptation of the system into the business of jury management.

Jury Systems Incorporated stresses the importance of dedicated training time free of any daily office responsibilities to maintain a focused training atmosphere. Our training specialists prefer to hold the training outside of the normal office environment (such as a conference room or training facility) to keep the training sessions free of interruptions. The training objective is to impart a solid foundation of JURY+ operational procedures. This takes time and concentration to accomplish. During the hands-on training sessions, the objective is to tackle the wide range of features and functionality in a relaxed environment.

It is important to keep the training on schedule but the atmosphere light and enjoyable. The experienced training staff of Jury Systems Incorporated emphasizes that new users will continue learning the application when they leave training. In training, end-users learn the software features and functionality and how it fits in with their business practices. There is time for discussion and procedure development so that the new users have a customized procedure outline at the end of the training sessions that helps them begin JURY+ processing.

New users leave training with a solid foundation for operations and the tools to continue integrating the software into their business environment. Training is reinforced with follow-up support and personal assistance from the trainer in the early implementation activities.

JURY+ allows you to take charge and manage your system at the local level. Training encourages a proactive approach to local system management, expecting that users play an active role in the development and maintenance of their system. Customer Support is always available to help when needed but there are many questions users can easily resolve themselves given the right resources and education. The training schedule includes modules for defining JURY+ administrative features to tailor the software to meet your local needs. During the administrative setup, you will be entering the configuration parameters and building the data tables that reflect your business rules and make JURY+ Next Generation specific to your Court.

+4 Advanced Training and Business Consultation

Jury Systems Incorporated offers advanced training on JURY+ Next Generation business applications, statistical reports and special court proceedings. Advanced training may include on-site system review and a detailed business operations analysis. Courts may contract for this service when they seek to streamline procedures and enhance efficiency in their existing processes. This service is recommended for courts considering significant changes in their jury management business requirements such as converting from 2-step to 1-step, changing or implementing new technology to support the business rules and procedures or when developing a new comprehensive Jury Plan for the jurisdiction.
