Jury Systems Incorporated

Data Services

The Data Services Department of Jury Systems Incorporated is responsible for initially loading jurors into each new client's JURY+ database. Thereafter, usually on an annual basis, Data Services creates a Juror Master File. The two maintenance plans that govern this service are known as +2 and +3 Maintenance. Cost for this service is based on the number of records processed.
The Data Services Department of Jury Systems Incorporated uses sophisticated tools and the greatest care in handling its client's data. Prompt and secure delivery of a Juror Master File is as important to us as it is to you.

+2 JURY+ Services

Under the +2 Maintenance plan Data Services periodically (usually annually) loads the Juror Master File of selected potential jurors into the client's JURY+ system database. If multiple source lists are used, it is assumed that they have already been merged rather than having Data Services perform the merge. However, with +2 Maintenance, certain prospective jurors are suppressed (i.e. eliminated) from the Juror Master File according to business rules/criteria specified by the client. For example, the client may wish to exempt jurors who have served during the past 'n' months and to permanently excuse others due to personal circumstances.

For +3 Maintenance subscribers, a merge/purge of the client's source lists is performed, eliminating duplicates and performing data correction where possible. The merge/purge is conducted according to criteria specified by the client. Subscription to +3 maintenance also includes all services provided under +2 maintenance.

Subscribers to +3 maintenance may request special processing. Data Services can support requests that require certain numbers of jurors be loaded per summoning district (based on zip code).

National Change of Address (NCOA) Processing

Clients may request that the juror mailing address information in their Juror Master File be corrected by NCOA processing. NCOA supplies an updated address and standardized zip code when applicable. NCOA processing occurs subsequent to the suppression/elimination process described above. Jury Systems Incorporated out sources the NCOA processing.

Zip Code Standardization Processing

Clients may request that the juror zip code information in their Juror Master File be corrected by Zip Code Standardization processing. The Zip Code Standardization vendor supplies an updated zip code when applicable. Jury Systems Incorporated out sources the Zip Code Standardization processing. This service is included when utilizing the NCOA processing on an address.
