JURY+ Access
JURY+ Access is a software module developed and maintained by Jury Systems Incorporated that provides external applications with an interface (access) to the Next Generation database. Through the JURY+ Access API (a separately licensed module) external applications are permitted to query and update the Next Generation database.
The JURY+ Access module allows our clients to employ new technologies in order to meet the increasing demand of their jury management responsibilities. Some of the external applications that are being employed include:
Interactive Voice Response (IVR)
Interactive (World Wide) Web Response (IWR)
Interactive (Touch based) Kiosk Response (IKR)
Interactive Imaging Response (IIR)
Examples of Business functions that may need to be provided via an external application include:
Rescheduling of jury service from one date to another
Rescheduling of jury service from one court to another
Qualification/disqualification based on statutory exemptions from jury service
Submission of extensive juror questionnaire information
Juror status information (need to appear, called-off, excused)
Juror payment information (amount and status of check)
Production of voucher/check/cash at kiosk
Employer work certification by auto fax
Response to Failure to Appear (FTA) or Order to Show Cause (OSC) notification
Attendance from scanned affidavit
Telephone number input from scanned affidavit
Address change from scanned affidavit
Time qualification of juror from scanned affidavit
In summary, the JURY+ Access module provides external applications with the ability to perform many of the same business functions that are performed by jury office end-users using the JURY+ Next Generation system.
What Are The Benefits?
Since the JURY+ Access module controls all data retrieval and updates, the external application and its developer are shielded from the complex database update rules that are required to support a specific business process. This leads to the following benefits:
Implementation of external applications are not Vendor specific
Developers do not need to learn the internal intricacies of the Next Generation database
External applications are shielded from changes and enhancements to the Next Generation database
